My sisters were coming down to help us move on the first of February and it was a miracle that we were able to get the keys by then. I went to work Friday morning while they started moving and we slept in the new house that night. I love that this house has a fireplace. It is not as awesome as a wood burning one but still, I will love it.
Will’s favorite thing to do is go to DI and Robin can never say no to shopping so we went and I am glad we did. We found this desk. I have never had a good DI purchase put I was happy happy with this one. Eventually it will be painted, but honestly who knows when that will be.
Robin found some of Wills old glasses and had to model them
The thing that I love and hate is the yard. I has potential but at the moment half of it is a giant hill with a wire fence at the bottom. The plan is to build up the wall, fill it in with dirt and grass and a little garden area but until we are less poor that wont happen. But even how it is now, Addison loves it. Our old house had a very small backyard and I could not really monitor her when she was outside. Here, she can be out there and I can she and hear her from almost any where. If the weather nice she spends hours digging in the dirt, planting sticks, coloring chalk, spraying colored water, and riding scooters and bikes. We have a decent sized covered patio with cement which is perfect for bikes and scooters and cars and chalk. It is great.
This is not our dream house; as Will says “its not everything we wanted but is what we need”. I am excited for this next step in our life. It has been fun, irritating, challenging, confusing and rewarding owning our own house!
