First of all I am highly irritated at myself. I was an awful picture taking during Chase’s homecoming. Just imagine our joyous faces as he comes down the stairs.
In order to prepare for his return we made a sign. I made a super sweet sign that even had an attachment that welcomed home Robin (she felt bitter she never got a sign) but alas, no picture. Addi, and the rest of us, had an excellent time painting this:
Since all of my family went to go pick up Chase in Japan (not at all bitter they left me…….) me and Addi where the only ones to welcome them off the plane.
For some unknown reason I showed up almost an hour early. Good thing there was this glass elevator the to entertain Addi. She liked to watch it go up and down and could see the dirt and oil at the bottom. She yelled “mess” a lot and cleaned the glass with her blanket.
And then they all waltzed down the stairs. If anyone knows my brother it was not an happy emotional homecoming. More like “Hey”. He seemed a bit leery around Addi for a while but they quickly warmed up to each other when we got to Harriet’s house. Chase spun her around in circles and then she would see how far she could run without falling over. They played tag and were generally crazy.
Of course we had to go shopping while we where in Provo. We got Addison these adorable aviator sunglasses which sadly are already broken. She did like them though and whenever the sun was in her eyes she would yell “glasses”.
Robin drove with us on the way home. We decided to take Addi to the sand hill outside of Moab. It was hot and sandy and not as much fun as it was when we were kids. Maybe next time.
Once we where finally home Addi had a great time playing with the dog, all the people, the tramp and of course dirt and rocks. Lately she is obsessed with circles. She loved to run around Chase on the tramp yelling “circle, circle, circle”.
Lots of times I would let her outside and she would nicely play in the dirt and the rocks under the tramp. I got a little too trusting and did not check on her for quite a while. When I did I could not find her any where. I ran around to the front of the house and she was halfway down the road to the farm following her best dog friend Tess around!
Robin and I took Addi to the lake. She fell in the mud within two minutes and decided she hated it. We lost Tess once. Walked a long ways and finally found her covered in cactus. We lost her again. Walked some more and finally went home with a crying muddy baby and a prickly dog.
Robin is the professional nail painter in the family. She did my nails and of course Addi had to join in the “pretties”.
Will and Loren had a salsa making contest one night. I don’t know why they have to have goofy faces.
After watching an episode of So You Think You Can Dance we learned Addi is an interesting dancer.
