Shot Day

The 2 month appointment came.  I have been dreading this day since I found out I was pregnant.  I hate shots, I hate other people getting shots and I especially hate babies getting shots.  While pregnant I watched a video about what happens when the baby goes to the nursery.  They showed the baby getting shots and drawing blood.  I was bawling hysterically and told Will I would never take her to get her shots.  I scheduled the appointment at a time I knew Will could take her in. The day before the appointment Will told me he had a meeting and I would have to face the doctor alone.
I set her one the table when the nurse came in.  She was laying there happy and laughing at the wall.  The nurse stuck the needle into her leg and her head instantly turned tomato red and the saddest most painful scream I heard came out of her.  One more shot in the other leg, more screaming, a tear or two from me, two bright band aids and it was all over. The nurse handed her to me, she snuggled my neck and she was over it.  I however was not and had to go get myself an ice cream cone to feel better.  The rest of the day she was not a fan of me touching her legs but other then that she was fine and slept most of the day.  Maybe next time I wont be as worried since she seemed to take it all rather well.
