Full Days

I got a new job!  Good news: its four full days a week.  Bad news: it is four full days a week. It is awesome because I still have a large amount of student loans but I hate it because I am never home.  When I am home on Wednesday it is crazy run errands day.  Laundry, bank, post office, grocery store and all the other random things that come up.  Because of this I always feel like we need to do something fun on Saturday so Addi doesn’t think I have completely forgotten about her. This Saturday we had so much fun.  I don’t think she threw even one fit all day. We did some laundry together which she likes and with my new washer I can wash everything in only two loads! First we went to JoAnns to pick up some crafts for Addi’s room décor.  They just happened to be doing fun things for their grand opening and Addi got her face painted.  She did so good.  She held perfectly still and kept her eyes closed while the lady did it.  The rest of the day everyone kept telling me how cute she was.

My friend mentioned that she got her daughter a little bird house to paint from JoAnns and that she loved it.  I found one and we had to take it home.  Addi loved painting it. During this time I figured out why she thinks that purple is called pink.  She was painting with purple and Will said “oh that is a pretty pink”.  This color blind man should not be teaching Addi colors!

After a nap we headed to the fair. I wasn’t too excited to go without Will or Loren but I figured there were probably Navajo tacos and I love those so we packed up and went. There were some amazing quilts at the exhibits.  Seriously, I wish I had the patience for that.  There was a carnival in town but they were expensive!! We did not do very many rides but it was still fun.  First up with the ferris wheel. Addi got a bit bored at the end but I liked it.

Nest Addi did a little jeep ride.  She loved it.

Last was a little plane ride.  She got nervous for a while because she couldn’t see me but once it started going and I got her attention she liked it.  She would wave and laugh every time she passed me.

Next up food!  I got my delicious Navajo taco.  Addi shared it with me until she realized I was going to let her drink some Sprite and then that is all she did.

They had a little playground on the fair grounds and Addi loved playing on that slide.  She went up and down while I had an amazing banana and Nutella crepe and listened to the band.  We stayed pretty late and Addi passed out as soon as we got home.
All in all I had a great day with my little munchkin.  I really hate leaving her so much but I am glad that we do lots of things on my days off.
