Staheli Farms

Well we have not had much family time lately.  I wanted this trip to Staheli Farms to be a perfect picture of family happiness.  Well, someone forgot to inform Addison of this plan.  She was grumpy and scared of everything for the first half an hour.  She usually loves the animals but not today.

She usually loves swings but not this horse tire swing.

I was certain she would like the “corn pit” because she loves playing in dirt and rocks but she would freak out when we tried to put her in.

We got on the trailer and made it to the pumpkin patch.  We were the only ones there and Addison finally would allow us to put her on the ground.  She decided she liked playing in the grass and with the pumpkins.

Once she was happy we went around the entire farm all over again.  She still hated the corn pit but this time around she pet the horse, yelled at the chickens (my Aunt has chickens and Addi runs around chasing them and yelling), laughed hysterically on the swing and rode a little tractor.

In the end we had a decent time and finally decided on the perfect pumpkin.  I learned that I should not have high expectations for family outings when a 1 year old is involved.
